Can't watch stream video's (1 Viewer)

I can hear it.... but can't see/watch it when I'm watching it or wanting to, what do i need to watch streams, my computer doesn't have it. I downloaded codec light but it's still not working, help please

i've got the latest WMP 11. And it still won't play it. I can hear it but can see it, could it possibly have to do with the Codec or something?

A couple of things. Firstly you need to install all the available codecs. There is a pack I use (forgotten name) if you send me a pm, I'll check my cds and find you the name. Also, install VLC player as it is (MUCH more) better than wmp9/10/11. Hope that helps. laterz.

I've got VLC player.

But i wanted to watch media player video clips over the internet. I downloaded it (WMP11) and upgrade it now only windows medias working and i now can't hear any sound from myspace pages or youtube

some how now i can't hear any sound when watching youtube,myspace music pages, click noises of my mouse, my realplayer, media player songs work when i'm listening to my music but the songs from web pages i hear NO sound. I can when listening to WMP audio but else nothing........

Go to stat --> my computer --> properties --> click the hardware tab --> click device manager --> tell me whether or not you have any (?) or (!) next to any of the devices.

Question: can you play music such as an MP3 or watch a DVD without the missing video or audio (E.G. in Windows Media Player)?

no i can't actually. I can only hear it when I'm watching it
and i used Firefox and I.E both doesnt work when i want to view it
i'll download it and come asap to see how it goes, thanks for the help man.

Shouldn't matter which browser, I personally don't have two browsers running at the one time, they tend to fight one another over defaults.

Which version of Internet Explorer are you using (Open the browser, click on the help tab towards the top, then click about Internet Explorer)?

Exactly which codec packs do you've installed?

Have you completed any virus/trojan scans? (I can supply a link to an online virus scan if you like -which is free).

Do you know how to get into safe mode?

If you're getting sound but no video, sounds as if the video codecs are missing... are you running XP?

i have checked all my computer system and virus free
and it's the IE7 latest version.
i had problems previously but i never bothered doing anything.
there's something missing to watch stream videos a missing DivX/XviD(codec)?
i downloaded K-Lite Mega Codec Pack 1.63
and i fixed the sound btw i had to configure some parts of the Codec lol.
yes i have a XP windows home, not office though

K-Lite Mega Codec pack is a good place to start. VLC has all the codecs preinstalled either way.

The 'sound but no video' problem is a common sign of a lack of DivX/XviD codecs.

what codecs i need to watch STREAM video

because for 3 days i've been looking around for help but
no one giving right answers, so BOS is the last chance i can get some decent help. Other sites been a bitch to me :burn:

i can watch youtube vidoes
but i can't watch vidoes like i.e ninemsn videos or that has WMP embeddled on it.
lol the only thing that comes out is the sound but can't see anything.

When you see the select options box, scroll till you find the "Fixes box", place a check in it -make certain a check is also in "Detect broken codecs".

Then click the next tab, once "DONE" - close the program, reboot the computer, then see if the video works.

Can you see video now or what eh crimes? I was thinking, also because you've installed quite alot of codec packs attempting to fix your issues, maybe you've more then one single codec for its application -double check and make sure you have uni-installed the other codec packs correctly.

all video's are fine. what bugs me is i can't see any video's from ninemsn or anything embeddled with WMP on it, other video streams i can perfectly see with audio etc but just WMP streams. There must be a codec for it or something lol

Open Windows Media Player --> Click Tools --> Options --> File Types Tab: Make sure all boxes are checked in there --> Click Apply, then OK.

See if that works.

lol yes the latest 1, which its up to date..
