Majoring in chemistry.
What are the career opportunities?
What are the prospects for a BSc degree?
Average salary of a graduate?
How long does it take to get a PhD after finishing a BSc degree?

Thanks

Phd is another 4+ years and it is only available to those are are in the top 5 or so percent of the course. Careers are very bad...your limited to laboratory work in which there are few positions available. Your best option is to do chemical engineering. The only major that l know that has decent career prospects are mathematics/statistics major.

I'm in the same boat, except I'm contemplating doing Bach. of Science (Biological Sciences) which probably has far worse job prospects =/

What about environmental science? I heard that this will be in demand in the future.

I'm doing this next year. It certainly has better job prospects for the future and even now, if you check seek.com, there are a lot of jobs advertised.
But when I say this, I mean in comparison with other science disciplines.

oh okay sweet. any chemistry based career that will be in demand?
Are you interested in physics?
You could be a medical physicist, pay is pretty good. You do a straight science degree and then masters, and finish in around 5 years.
