there are a lot of people who do accelerated courses- cause u can accelerate in well, almost everything...

Well, don't you need your school's permission to accelerate? And you definitely need a program to help you accelerate...

sure but there are a hell of alot of schools which provide accelerated course and they dont all have to be maths they can be other things as well so really it is possible for 3000 people who be sitting the rest of their hsc to do one subject this year


also i might get raged for this BUT I MEAN WHY IS A 2009er POSTING IN 2008 HSC GENERAL DISCUSSION GAH U HAVE UR PRELIM GO TALK THEIR AND LET THE PEOPLE SITTING HSC NOW TALK OK

lol, it's not like that's a rule or anything. i think you'll find 08'ers in the prelim area too...

obviously u dont realise how many schools in nsw provide accerlerated courses i mean some people can do them through tafe so its understandable that there could be 3000 year 11 students doing accelerated courses

Taking account of the fact that there are schools with 100+ in acceleration program.
I think it's more a combination of a few reasons:

* Accelerated courses
* Pathways
* Tafe students (They can do prelim and HSC subjects in one year - meaning they could do english next year)
* ESL

unremarkable news, considering that the population didnt stagnate in 1990

however i am very happy that the advice line will be open - no longer need to get grass roots information out of academic teachers with PhDs

well it wud be around there probably
our school alone has 80 for maths approx 20 each for modern hist, business, music, geography some for d+t,chem,art maybe and others, so our school wud hav like 160ppl, other top selective school wud hav around the same
