If chem doesn’t scale then what subjects do scale. Is it only like physics and 3/ 4 unit math

unfortunately their scaling is not comparable to 3/4u math at all
even physics isn't comparable to the maths, though is slightly better than chemistry
advanced maths scales better than sciences from my knowledge

Who wants to give me a quick crash course on average rate of change, speed, velocity, acceleration, etc in calculus. I just need a brief refresher so I don’t get cooked tmrw

Average rate of change? Do you mean average velocity? That's just the change in displacement over the change in time (so subtract the final value of both from the initial value). This is much simpler than calculus questions involving differentiation, which require you to find the instantaneous rate of change.

As for displacement (x, or s for physics), velocity (v, or x with a dot on top) and acceleration (a, or x with 2 dots on top) - differentiate the x function for the v function, and differentiate the v function for the a function. I'm assuming you haven't done integration yet?

Remember that the above 3 are the vector values, and their scalar equivalents of x and v are distance and speed. For those, you would typically need a graph. Remember that vector values include both magnitude and direction, while scalar values only include magnitude. For example, distance is just how much ground you've covered, while displacement is how far you end up from your starting position.

is a 92/100 for english advanced trials a good mark? i mean, i ranked first in my cohort but idk if our cohort is very strong, so i wanted to put things into perspective. i did the cssa trial btw

any first in cohort mark is great
I'd be happy with that mark, but I won't fully get mine back until Monday so not sure how others went at my school

I will never understand why anyone would waste their time on such a pointless subject like English Ext 2. Unlike 3u and 4u maths that are actually applicable for Uni courses, etc, you gain nothing from doing EE2 besides probably a sense of personal accomplishment and a keener eye in English as a whole.

Still counts towards your ATAR, so if you're good at it and love it, you might as well do it.

lower marks always scale better than higher ones, so a 50/100 for pretty much every subject will go up a considerable amount
although for most it becomes like a 60-75 whereas in 4U it's like an 80-something
