I am in the EXACT same position as you and I have no clue where to begin, hoping I pass atp, but I really feel compelled to do well as it is compulsoryI have my English assessment on Monday and I have not done a draft due to some factors out of my control. I'm so scared. I have my ideas and quotes but I don't think I have enough time to fully prepare an essay before the assessment (in class). How should I spend this weekend preparing for the assessment? Also, I really struggle with starting my essay intro/thesis so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My advice is write a generalised thesis (no need to memorise an essay), and make it adaptable. They can only ask you questions related to 4 topics: collective and individual human experiences, human emotion, storytelling, and paradoxes/anomalies/inconsistencies. Advice is to write the generalised thesis on collective/individual experiences or human emotions as theyโre easier to adapt to each other. Then if the question asks about storytelling, adapt it to say how storytelling is used to discuss collective/individual experiences or human emotions. If the question asks about paradoxes, adapt it to discuss paradoxes in human experiences or human emotions.I have my English assessment on Monday and I have not done a draft due to some factors out of my control. Pray tbh, but seriously tho, I use the hardest words I can think of on the spot and it usually worksOk so like my English assessment (in-class) is lowkey TOMORROW. Does anyone have any advice on how I can make sure that I make a good thesis statement in relation to the question in order to set a good precedent for the rest of my essay? (Context: Common Mod)
Yeah i agree with use hard words, and also use the words from the question. The teacher's probably half skimming by the time they get to your paper and as long as you sound like you know your stuff and the essay has the vibes of the question they won't think too much of it. Sprinkle the words from the question all over your essay and English writing becomes kinda chill (disclaimer im not an english nerd i hate english)Ok so like my English assessment (in-class) is lowkey TOMORROW.
