How is engineering? It’s not on my uac atm but it seems interesting and never knew enough about it to make any concrete decisions

its very diverse, first year you learn everything from pure maths to electrical circuits and group design. it's hard, but engineering is such a well-respected degree that you can transfer into pretty much anything you want with a half-decent WAM.

u can also do many jobs that arent engineering with an engineering degree, for example, my WAM is currenly 90 and if i keep that up i would 100% get recruited by an investment bank at my graduation time. companies want people with engineering degrees for business positions since they tend to be more analytical. engo is a very flexible degree

Usually theres extra space at the back of the paper, but if you need more space you just write them all in one (or as many as you need) other writing booklet, or at least thats what they did in my trials. Just make sure you clearly label what question you're answering and write in the actual question that you continued the response in extra space/writing booklet

Yeh there is space on the back but's its only like one page. I normally need like 2 or 3 lol. I need to work on succinct writing

Yea I get that, I am kinda worried they won’t be able to read my work bc I hate getting extra booklets it’s so annoying

Yeh its annoying. Just be careful with writing under the line at the bottom. One of my friends did that for English cause it was her last sentence and she didn't want to get an extra booklet, and she didn't read the warning and only found out after we told her like yesterday.

the "don't make marks below this line" is just so nothing gets cut off right? bc i was always terrified id get disqualified or something for writing in the wrong place

ya bc they rip out the pages and scan them to give to other markers. and if u write outside of those lines, it risks being missed by scanning

oo excitinggg! dont worry much abt the discipline cos u can LITERALLY change it in seconds on the myunsw website at any point during the year if you have a change of heart. if u like engineering youll love the facilities at unsw
