i think like u only need to know it for a scenario based question as noidea said and like explain the research process which WILL include the research methods used, sampling groups/size, etc etc

yeah i know but u cant explain the whole research process in one question that would be quite extensive for cafs. I was confused on how u can design a research method, not whether or not the process can include research methods, which I am aware of.
