I feel constantly in competition with other students, even though there is a lot of students doing the units I do. Im in between a D and HD average at the moment, so I try and maintain my good grades.

hey guys
hsc where the school was given a quota and it was up to them to determine the students that got the mark in the quota, and so it was important to try and be better than other students. at uni its a bit different, they dont say 'we have x hd's to give out and i think they should go to him and her' etc. if everyone does well, everyone can get a hd (even though the chances of that actually happening are virtually nil).

What the.. I didn't know in high school , they were given a quota of how many got XX Mark? Wow. You Learn something new everyday.

I don't really feel competitive in university, Just lazy.

But I do like beating my bf in subjects Nyahhahaha.

I don't find universtiy competitive at all... maybe the fact that I don't really socialise with anyone doing my degree majors but rather with friends at the unibar who care more about the unibar trivia and just enjoying ourselves rather than our marks.

The only time I get competitive is when I try to beat some person purely out of spite.

Not at the moment, but in terms of career prospects, work experience and cadetships in journalism I will be in stiff competition with my peers from UTS. But the course is pass/fail this year so there is no pressure really.
