given z = 1+2i
find z.zconjugate / |z|^2

can we just state that the top is the same as |z|^2 or do we have to sub everything in etc

You can just state it (assuming that statement is true, which I dunno 'cause I've already forgotten everything about complex :D)

There's nothing wrong with saying z . conjugate(z) = |z|^2., so it equals 1.

oh okay thanks :) it just seemd abit weird that they gave us the value for z if we didnt use it i guess
