What does taking supplements have to do with not believing in ones self?
refer to my 1st post.

every single successful sports person in the world takes supplement
I highly doubt that.

go take your quotes and preach your bullshit somewhere else
Refer to the quote. Obviously you did not understand what 'rejecting' something is.

mun_ said:
and you are an idiot for taking what he says and preaching it
Its ok if you don't know who he is.

Abbeygale: I will delete that sentence if it makes you feel better.

Good to see people pumping themselves full of chemicals which they don't need and which won't help them. :)

It is NOT suggested that people take vitamin supplements UNLESS they have a deficiency.

Just get a table spoon, scoop out a tablespoon of vegimite and eat it. :p
Heh. I did that once- I think I was about twelve? Never ever again.

Eagles, I think you fail to understand. It's not the sentence that bothers me. It's the attitude, and then the claim that its just an opinion. How about instead of deleting it you apologise for it and the bullshit in your second post?

I'll give you some advice. Most animal trainers will tell you that hitting an animal is counter productive- animals don't learn to their full potential when they're afraid. The same applies to people- if you put them on the defensive by suggesting there's something wrong with them, they're not going to listen to you, even if your intention is to 'encourage people to believe in themselves' (I hope you appreciate the effort I'm going to to stop myself from giggling at that).

The thing about vitamin supplements etc. is that if you don't actually have a deficiency, you're probably doing damage to your liver and kidneys. Vitamins aren't like a "let's take heaps cos it might not help but it can't hurt" sort of thing...

Obviously I exclude caffeine from this, because I depend on it completely.

Vegemite or Marmite's the best way to go if you want more vitamin B, it's way cheaper than buying the tablets. Or you could just eat wholegrain bread instead of white bread - it's easy to get more than enough of most of the B's this way, and it's also a more cost effective method than the pills. Better yet, have wholegrain toast with Marmite on it for breakfast (Marmite over Vegemite because it's got vitamin B12 where Vegemite does not).

hi, mm i understand that a proper diet will fulfil dietry needs, but i was steering towards ginko, because a basic diet will not have ginko biloba in it. so really the only way to consume ginko will only be from the plant itself, or from chinese herbal medicine.

You don't need it, though. It's not part of a healthy diet.

Why are you getting so huffy about what Eagles said? (You'd think you were bloody liberal party leaders)

Eagles is right. Whilst I do take supplements, I realise that all the supplements in the world could never make you work harder. However, if you take effort to the max and supplements to the min then you can get great results.

Where were the supplements for Strauss, Einstein, Socrates, Marx, Tolstoy, Bach or Mozart?

Let's just ignore those taken by Tenesse Williams ^__^
