It was such a bad paper! Modernisation and industrialisation?! What the hell?!
The questions for the continuity and change were hard. I made up so much crap. Same with the essays.

we havent finished the topic at school yet so i couldnt use the focus study we are yet to learn about in detail.

ugggh pathetic.

i was really psyched that society would be a good paper, coz its a fairly simple subject. and it backfired!

We did South Africa. I think a few girls in my class did Australia though because they felt more comfortable with it.
Before the exam my teacher said that she was surprised by the paper. We didn't know if it was because it was easy or hard. She wouldn't tell us. Apparently she thought it was dead easy. Same with the s+c coordinator.
I did not find it easy :(

I felt screwed over! I focused my study on population changes and family life and I had never related them to modernisation or industrialisation before. I made some stuff up as usual. Hope it goes ok though.

I found it really good. And they hardly had anything on Industrialisation. 4 marks I think. At least it wasn't an extended response!
I loved the essay questions actually...Their broad nature enabled me to draw from many concepts and ideas in my answers.
I did:
Work & Leisure B
Popular Culture A

That exam was darn annoying.

I was amazed that Industrialisation took up an entire page, but oh well.

For 'Change and Continuity', we studied China with Family and Population Changes. It was difficult to talk about modernisation, I mainly rambled about embracing Western culture and giving stronger roles to the women of the family as a result.

Equality and Difference had HARD questions, well I thought so.
Equality and difference do not HAVE a role, they exist to separate and segregate! Ugh.

Anywho, all over- kinda difficult exam but I had it on the last day, with Music performances straight after. Hectic.

wow congrats!
she had an easier paper? special provisions or something?
our results are taking awhile, probably due to the size of the cohort.

umm nah. not special provisions.
she sat the paper with us, then felt sick or something (straight after reading time) and then sat another paper the next day.

from those who asked what questions she got, apparently it was more civilised stuff, unlike industrialisation.

i cant remember.
anyway, nothing can be done now lol.

ONE MARK!

If you are running short of ideas in the Continuity and Change Question there are the Theories of Change to fall back on....need to identify how they apply to your Case Study in Continuity and Change.
You can pretty well get them into any essay for any Depth Study as well.
Worth thge effort to sit down and work out how one or two of them may apply to each area you have studied.
