Just making a poll on how many people on this forum made it to selective.

I wasn't eligible for application when I was in primary school.

I made it to Selective for HS (Syd. tech) but decided not to go. I just got offered a place at SBHS.

Um, right now I go to a Catholic Private school in the inner west.

One of them is on the reserve list (No.2) and the other still hasn't got anything back-or hasn't told me.

Oh btw ironically, the cut off mark for fort street is higher than st george girls but when it comes to the hsc, st george girls does better.

Anyone have any ideas why?

My opinion is because of location.

The fact that its a Co-Ed school? Better facilities? (Off topic: I know some of the music teachers at FS are awesome)

Yes I made it. Although my school is not a highly acclaimed Selective school, our teachers are fantastic.

Yeah, but i was being stupid at the time and put down a school that i couldn't go to even if i was selected. It was too far away to be practical.
