her professor observed what she was about to do, out of the corner of his eye and hurried towards her, and after confirming this was what she was intending to do, asked her first to stir the water in the bucket for five minutes before adding the potassium.
she was puzzled and ran after him to ask the purpose of this action.

what about hydrogen gas? they smell good... better than chlorine. just remember cathode for explosion and anode for serious lung damage.
i've seen many videos of scientist exploding when they were performing electrolysis.

Nah, you cant electrolytically seperate NaCl while it is in solution, you have to do it while its molten. And you do it from a distance. The problem is you have to have a large container for the Cl gas you dont want the container exploding and spreading a large amount of chlorine.

errr... thats a sad method... i prefer the concentrated aqueous version... unless sodium is your need. but who would want sodium anyways... we all know Cl2 and H2 worth billions more than the cheap Na. imagine the explosion you can achieve with H2... wow... perfect solution for exploding animals.
what the hell is Cs? carbon? hahaha... you can get them cheap by adding some sulfuric acid into sugar... beware of heat danger and SO2 produced.

Cs is Cesium, while Sodium and Potassium are stored under oil, Cesium must be stored in glass...
Sodium is cool, it explodes in water if a large enough chunk is used and it spits out sodium bits when it explodes making it deadly...
I wonder what would happen if you microwaved sodium until it was a gas and then stuck chlorine in...

God no, I need the sodium first, and an old cheap microwave... I would have to hook up a battery to it and a radio activated switch and take it out to crown land...
