its not so much whether a girl can make you bothered enough

its more that its a useful thing for when you want to put in the extra effort (and i give my roses to guys aswell)

the first time i randomly gave my boyfriend flowers (roses), he was all embarrassed and made me hold them :p

but on my way home, i got an sms from him saying "you should've seen the look these two girls on the bus gave me. you make me so happy :)"

and i gave him a daffodil the other day, since he likes to call me yellow :p his parents paid him out :p

on my way to find chocolate, i saw a girl give a guy flowers and he was like "awww..." and they kissed passionatly (rules out the fact he's gay...)

is this just a new tradition that i wasn't aware about?

makes buying presents for guys a bit easier?

if you're a guy, what are your thoughts?

and girls? discuss.

EDIT: i've also seen it in a few tv shows, like in friends when rachel buys ross flowers when he comes back to the country, except he's with an asian girl...
The guy was faking it to get laid

Personally, I've never really liked flowers. I mean they're pretty and all, but they're dead in a week or so and you don't get to do anything cept smell them and look at them. Considering a decent bunch is about $20 - I can get a book or a CD or something that will last much longer.

With regards to guys specifically - I gave my ex a fake sunflower once and he still has it in his room - long story...

Ive never given a guy flowers and I cant imagine myself doing so. Not because of tradition but because I dont think they would appreciate it as much as I would and if I was buyign flowers I would most likely keep them. If I was going out to buy my guy a gift the flower shop wouldnt be where I would go. Just personal opinion I guess.

I don't see the problem with it. It's not like girls are asking me to wear them in my hair. I wouldn't particularly want them as a gift, but it's a good way to show you care regardless of who you're giving them to I reckon.

I give flowers to guys, like once they have performed on stage. I really don't see the problem with it!
