obviously everyone knows my opinion on this issue :p
but all the girls replying in this thread don't make up the whole australia, or the whole world, so you really cant say that "99% of girls" allow it.

99% is a cliche, used to make a point that all but a very select few allow it, I'd say it'd be closer to 80-90% but meh.
Also this isn't about all girls in the world, this is about females in the rough 16-21 range in Australia, and I think this forum's a pretty decent indicator of how they feel on the subject.

I seriously don't care, I'd be more worried if he didn't view it in some form of media.
My only rule is if you want to have a toss to it, lock the door.

The only time I'd be like "omg thats sooooo wrong" would be if it was some sick kiddie porn.

I was going to stay out of this thread but I can't anymore since I can just not see from this point of view.

I don't understand how you can expect a GF to trust us (males) and feel loved when we can't even have the decency to keep our eyes to ourselevs. If I was a girl I would feel completely degraded in that my boyfriend isn't completely satisfied with me and thinks he needs to look at other women to fufill himself and his desires.

It's not as if we as males need to look at it. I think it is because we want to and can't be bothered with the self disipline to keep oursleves away. If this is what it comes down to then it is not right to say it's okay for guys to look at it because they can't help it, or "everybody does it". It is just not true, guys can help it and I know for a fact that not everybody does it.

I know I will be greated with a variety of flaming from this, but I honestly don't mind. If that is what it takes to point out that it is not a neccesity in a guys life, then so be it.

Brad, not all of use are the Demi-Gods of Self control that you are, some of us have needs and desires, needs and desires that it healthy to express, its not an issue of degredation or humiliation, because porn these days is not about desire it is about lust, and the object of your lust should not always be expressed on your girlfriend

yeah we want to do it, but a higher sex drive means it is kinda of difficult to consentrate or work effectively with such desires constantly being assessed.

anyways, right or wrong heaps of blokes do it, it is part of their lives and a girlfriend not liking it is not going to change it happening, so its best to get used to the idea that your boyfriend looks at porn, and please, dont be annoyed because he did it when he was single aswell, and being with you changes nothing

thankyou ladies, for your support and consideration you show towards your bloke and his collection :p

Masturbation fulfils a completely different purpose to sex. It is a method of stress release, as opposed to showing devotion to your partner.

Masturbation is a completely seperate issue to pornography. And since we are talking about pornography that is what I am saying I have the problem with. Lust and desire toward another person even if it is an image on a screen is not showing loyalty to your partner, surely.

I'd rather a boyfriend have a wank to some dodgy B-grade porn than screw the bimbo from down the street or something.

I think your views are completely unrealistic, real life isn't like that. You can't always be with your girlfriend, she can't always give you what you need.

You make it seem that I have non of these desires whatsoever and that is just not true. Of course I burn with just as much of a sex drive as you, the only difference is that I choose to control it.

I'm not quite sure that I understand your point on lust vs desire. Surley lust is the desire for something sexual. Dictionary descibes it as: "Intense or unrestrained sexual craving". With this in mind I feel that it is just as degrading to the woman since they are not the only person which fufills their partners sexual desire.

Please clarify cause I'm not entirley sure what you mean. ta :)

But does he actually need other naked women to masturbate? Your kidding yourself if you believe that he does

Perhaps not needs as such (although I know some men that do), but it has been well documented that men are visual creatures, and surely such a stimulus can only increase the experience.
I'm certainly not going to deny anyone added pleasure!

I know that this would not be my way of doing things but as a comprimise, how about visualising his significant other?

With those comments it has also made me realise something else in relation to why I disagree with porn. Pornography objectifies people. Women are not seen as someone that needs to be cared for properly, but rather an object to gain pleasure from. This just does not sit right with me. Humans are humans, not objects and need to be viewed as that.

These women consent to being presented as they are, so there should be no conflict.

I heard or read something recently that some science boffins did some research and it turns out in many a modern porn film, the men weren't in total control, that women were frequently having their needs met, or being satisfied instead of the guys. Food for thought perhaps.

The fact that they are paid for sex work does not change the deceptive way they are presented. In my opinion, this has a very negative effect on males that watch it by subtlely changing the light and respect in which we treat women with.
