Do you necessarily need over 50% in all your assessments to pass a subject? (1 Viewer)

I know some subjects require you to pass the final exam and then your cumulative mark after
but does anyone know, say you pass ur final exam but your average raw mark is below 50, do uni scale them up so you end up just passing?

Some subjects scale, some don't, but the 50% in all assessments criterion seems to be a more basic one than 50% in the exam.

Depends on the subject. Eg:

CHEM3xxx requires a pass in all components - lab and exam
ENGL2660 requires a total mark of >50%, so you can fail the major essay and blitz the exam to pass the course
