hey, i do 13 units.
i do Eng.Adv 4unit maths, Phys, Chem, Bio and SOR1...
(in all modesty)in my opinnion i believe i am a 90 student in Physics and Chemistry.
i also think i am able to get a 85+ in Bio.
i have told myself that in my half yearly if i get less than 80% in Bio i will dropp it.
English (obvious), 4u maths and SOR are not an option 2 drop... physics n chem are my better 2 science... wot do i do. drop it, or not???
any opinnions

yes scaling wise and interest wise, u are better off droppin bio...

however, there are alot of topics in hsc bio... tho it is again very historical orientated, it's worth a try...

i did 14 units and i managed it... not all that hard any way...

Keep bio and go on with the 13 units, it worked for me and I was planning to drop bio at the start of the year, but ended up crashing and burning with physics, so yeah lucky I didn't. And also I got 81% in my bio half yearly, but ended up with 92 assessment mark, 91 overall, so those marks do scale up, and not to personally insult anyone having trouble with bio, but if you're intelligent you can get by with a minimum of work by simply:
a) paying attention in class
b) cramming before the exam
so it shouldnt interfere with your other subjects, and I knew at the start of the year that no matter how much work I put in it was the one subject I could rely on for a band 6.

Precisely the reason why I kept bio and dropped physics.
Well, that and the fact that i didnt like physics....or my physics teacher....

i do 13 units and i'm handling it quite well. they are advanced english, 3u maths, chem, physics, bio and business studies.

What you need to work out is if keeping bio is advantageous?

I'd drop it. Chem and physics are scaled so much better than Bio, although Bio is easier. If you think you will do better in Phys and Chem and your doing 13 units, then drop bio. It has a huge syllabus in comparison to the other tow, which means more to learn with a lower loading.
