sydney boys, the dux got 100. there's also a strange tradition for the dux to get 1/cosC on their yr12 jersey (ie 2secC).
No that's really really lame. And nerdy.

I liked 'genie-ass' better (Vinh).

100 previous decade or so. Ruse.

Ok just a quick off topic question.. according to stats, do private schools do better than publics?
So like with school rankings and all. Considering that there are a lot more public schools than private schools.

i'd say private schools do better than non-selective public schools on a whole. but selective schools perform the best in general.

I'd say don't worry about what you can't change (i.e. your school and it's preformance) and do the best that you can in the situation you are in. In short don't worry about others school just yourself because it won't help one bit. :)

you can't have it both ways!

p.s. grammar schools are private.
No.

Every single year 6 coming in has to take an entrance exam thats open to the entire state, only those who are good enough make it in, and everyone is ranked by classes for year 7.

If you continually fuck up your exams you are "asked to leave".

There are some ways to get round this, i.e. parents working at the school, going to a prep school since kindergarten, music scholarships and so on...

But its definitely a selective school. And it is private (19K fees annually).

It's called a scholarship. Except if you don't keep it up every year it's just taken off you. =D

Someone's a bit outdated. (50% score above median, and it was like 99.3-ish last year.)
