markers may not appreciate it as a deep text to the extent you do so it's best to avoid it

Do it if you can justify/analyse it well.

I'm doing the rap song 'Chum' By Earl Sweatshirt for my belonging related text and the entire album 'Ready To Die' by Biggie Smalls for my Module C.

As long as you can make it sound sophisticated then you should be fine.

Technically speaking, markers cannot be biased towards a certain text type. So as long as you can pull sophisticated and meaningful insight from it it should be alright. However i wouldn't reccomend it, just find a nice traditional poem.
