Yes i was wondering if anyone could help me out with a certain equation i have been trying for hours but it hasn't helped at all.
The equation is square root of 3 then -2, then also + 1 over square root of 3, -2.
Would be much appreciated if you could tell me the steps thanks.

how about you actually type out the equation rather than verbalising it.
It's a bit difficult to understand what your saying..

(√3 - 2) + 1 / (√3 - 2)

What you do is:

Step 1) rationalise the denominator in 1/(√3-2), i.e. times both top and bottom by √3+2

you get: √3+2/(√3)^2+2√3-2√3-4 = √3+2/-1 = -(√3+2)

Therefore your equation now is:

(√3 - 2) - (√3 + 2)

= -4

thank you, sorry about verbalising it, i havent really got the hang of latex yet.
