Yep they're required to undertake that too. Well that's what I was told anyway at my EY assessment centre.

Tax is for boring people with no communication skills and love the numerical pad on the keyboard. :D
I have actually found that the tax group tend to be the more outgoing, confident, and exciting people at EY. I am not even passionate about tax yet, so I am being quite un-biased.

Hmm I remember that people in EY could do Comm/Law (on cadetship) and then they had to do a Masters of Tax whilst everyone else was doing CA. I was also under the impression that if you did Masters of Tax, you didn't have to do CA; but then I guess it's probably a good post-grad qualification to have when working in a Big4 firm.

I'll get straight to the point. I got an offer from EY today :D. Now someone who has worked there give me their honest opinion of what they think it's like and whether I would like it there or not.

There's a lot of EY cadets here... but I think they're too busy working :) Great way to get an "honest opinion" though!

Yeh I am a cadet atm, and I honestly really enjoy working at EY. People are great, training is awesome, they look after you, plenty of socialising (free beers) and chicks dig it.

If you outgoing and friendly (even if your ARE in audit :p) you should find yourself at home.

So yeh...look foward to it. :)

and KPMG's classic:

with lyrics such as:

So as the river runs,
Let your spirit flow
Let it take you where you wanna go
In this world, there's a place you belong
Let the world hear your sooo-ooo-ong
And the strength of us all is the power of one!
Our greatest moments are still to come!

makes me feel warm all over. I'm gonna audit to my heart's content!
