answer the question please
If you are at the top, regardless of school rank, a high mark is likely. And posting ranks is the ONLY relevant thing for an ATAR estimate, not internal marks which have no correlation to the hsc. A 14/15 in your school is probably a 10 in my school for example.

Also im going to have to agree with everyone here, you're an idiot.

OK, so...let's look at my ranks for instance. It's in the format, subject, raw marks as a percentage, estimated aligned mark (/100, just like the HSC), rank in school.

English Advanced: 83, 93, 15th/200
English Extension 1: 38, 45, 20th/70 - [Remember, Extension English is out of 50]
Maths Extension 1: 95, 98-99, 2nd/150
Maths Extension 2: 83, 97-98, 3rd/150
Physics: 88, 93, 7th/100
Chemistry: 84, 94, 3rd/100

As you can see....the raw marks mean absolutely nothing. All my raw marks are in the 80s, 70s even. But all my aligned marks are 90+. Also, how do you explain my raw mark in Chemistry and Maths Extension 2 being significantly lower than my Physics.....yet, my ranks and aligned marks are much better?

ooooooooooooooooooooooh cool thanx

just have two more questions

1. so evn the internal raw marks get aligned?
2. if so, do those aligned raw marks go towards in determining your atar?

ur the idiot,

explain this if i got 1st out of 20 people in all ma subjects, however my marks OVERALL were in the 70s for each subject, does that mean i would get 95+??????
Ahahahah you just don't get it. Of course if someone epically fucked up they wouldn't get it. We act on the presumption they will. They're designed to SUGGEST how well they do. They don't know the actual marks they're gonna get in the hsc beforehand; and if they don't want to give us the internal marks, hey, we run on what we can.

Hmm, since I've hijacked Elizabeth's thread - I better answer the question. :p

OK, your ranks at the moment, you're definitely headed for 97+. If you do well in your external exams [with a strong emphasis on ESL and MX2], there is no reason why you cannot get 99+.
