Well I can't really say what my fave songs are because I like too many lol. I'll name a few songs and my fave bands

Dir~En~Grey will always be my fave band, they got me into Japanese music^^ I love Yokan, Cage and Cube.
Gackt: Another world (My exchange student's friend found out I like Gackt and was so excited to show me this song on her MP3. It reminds me of them ^^) There are a few other songs but bugger me if I remember the title. lol.
Malice Mizer - Love most their songs.
Otsuka Ai Sakurando bo, Honey and that Ishikawa Oosaka song. She's fun to listen to when i'm feeling down, she's a crazy Jap chick *nodnod*
oh and I like 'Message' by... umm... I think it's Breath or something. It's on the J-pops countdown CD *shrugs* Can't remember.

My Chinese friend buys CDs when she goes overseas and I borrow em and *cough*burn*cough*em. lol. But she doesn't like a lot of the music I like so i mostly download witht he intention of buying it when i go to Japan eventually. lol

'Endless Rain'
I take it you're talking about the X Japan song, Endless Rain. If so, YAY!

I have been listening to Japanese music pretty much since I started studying Japanese back in 05. I first started listening to J-pop, starting with Ayumi Hamasaki, progressing to other artists such as Amuro Namie, BoA etc. Slowly moving towards the Hello!Project groups such as Morning Musume Minimoni etc. Last year, I made the right choice by switching to the wonderful world of Visual Kei/J-Rock!!!

At the moment, I listen to a lot of J-Rock, while still listening to some J-pop stuff. Here is a list of artists I listen to at the moment:

X Japan
Versailles
Dir en Grey
Antic Cafe
Luna Sea
LM.C
NewS
BoA
Amuro Namie
HIZAKI Grace Project
Malice Mizer
hide

That's about all I can think of. I'd list some of my favourite songs, but that would take a lot of time.
