‘spose so. I used to have that problem with firefox, but then I stopped caring, and poof, it went away.nekkid said:agreed. but it’s the next best thing.
I would suggest that those who aren't exactly computer savvy might not know how to install Firefox, or what a 'browser' is... that little blue 'e' can represent the entire internet, for one who is not exactly computer savvy.AsyLum said:Firefox is better for those who enjoy tabbed browsing but also for those who aren't exactly computer savvy because it is more secure.
bitchgirl, as you may or may not have noticed Firefox does not support paragraphs at this point in time (As seen above). For this reason alone, I'd recommend postponing your investigation until support is added.insert-username said:Firefox's basic advantages are a different, most say sleeker interface, a greater resistance (it's not totally infallible though) to spyware and web nasties (IE makes one HUGE target since many hackers hate Microsoft and know everyone's using it), tabbed browsing (makes life tonnes easier for most), quicker updates for bugs and holes (last few reported holes have been fixed in a matter of weeks, rather than Microsoft's months) and extensions that extend its functionality (e.g. an ad-blocker). You can use IE and Firefox concurrently and Firefox has an Import Wizard that will import all your bookmarks, settings, etc. from IE when you first install it (so you don't really lose much and get a fresh new look). I find it very customisable and easy to use. All of IE's basic functionality is duplicated in Firefox - it works in mostly the same way, so it's easy to learn. Apart from some websites that require IE to work (e.g. Windows Update), Firefox works across the web, and if it doesn't it's easy to fire up IE to take over. I highly recommend you switch.

I disagree, firefox takes up twice the resources in Task Manager and it also has an annoying memory leak. However, I enjoy the rest of the features immensely.Krangelus said:firefox is faster

I will be sure to remember this extremely important and relevant point in the future.
I must learn more about these "paragraphs"... they sound intruiging.
I will also make sure to bring this important matter up with Mozilla and tell them they are losing users because there is no auto-paragraph® feature.

It's easier to just use the things I'm familiar with.HotShot said:as i said before its a waste a complete waste having two browsers, do this uninistall xp run a linux system , get openoffice, get firefox suite and use opensource software that is worthwhile, but downloading firefox becuase its more secure and better is pointless if already have another browser
