Hey

I'm starting an economics degree next year at UNSW, and am not sure wether to chose FINS1612 or FINS1613 as my first semester elective. What would you recommend I do?

Thanks

FINS1612.

It's more general than FINS1613. FINS1613 sticks to Business Finance, while FINS1612 gives you a general overview of finance itself.

Just don't take FINS1613 when Kyung Hwan is taking it. :p

That being said, FINS1613 should be easier in sem 1 next year. I would rather take FINS1612 first because it's has the introduction to the theory in finance.

1612 but most people choose 1613 because it's a flexible - have time to decide whether you want to major in Finance.

if its your first session, go 1612

1613 is harder and more interesting, but go 1612 for the whole adjustment to uni etc. both are fair easy though.
