What French Films have you seen that are worth watching?
So far I've loved Amelie and Jeux D'enfant so much I actually went out to buy it. La Vie en Rose is quite magnificent...it felt powerful (haha its the only word that came to mind).

What else is out there? Opinions, Review welcome :)

ah and for French music, i know there'll be varying opinions :shouting: so...be nice, yeah?

I've listened to Kyo (is awesome) :p & Shy'm, Alizee, Carla Bruni (her's is a bit too folky for me IMO)

reponde-moi, s'il vous plait?

*no accents because I forgot the keys to type them, care to remind me?

I watched Ratatouille in English with french subs then vice-versa. And finding nemo too. Cartoons/Animations are good for this because you already know the story line (and its usually easy to follow) and they normally have speech and subtitles in either languages

French artists: Camille and Emilie Simon are pretty good
and as for films: La Placard (The Closet) is hillarious, there's always French movies on SBS and they're usually quite good, I can't remember all their names though, The Closet is definetely a good one to watch though
:)

Paris, je t'aime

I haven't seen it, but apparently most of it is in French with english subs.
I am looking out for this in stores.

My favourite French movies are also Amelie and Jeux d'Enfants (so sweet).

And music... I quite like the BB Brunes. My favourite French song, however is Elle a fait un bebe (sorry, accents are impossible on this laptop) toute seule by Jean-Jacques Goldman. It's kind of old, but awesome. My teacher played it for us in class and I love it.

I also like:
Pate Filo by Malajube
3eme Sexe by Miss Kittin (this was on some ad with Agyness Deyn a while back)
Ne partons pas faches by Raphael
Caravane by Raphael
Dis-moi by BB Brunes
L'arc-en-ciel by Da Silva
Ta Douleur by Camille
Quelqu'un m'a dit by Carla Bruni (there's also a nice cover from the Les Enfoires concert in 2006)

Yeah. :)

since this year I've found some more french singers to listen to :D
BB Brunes definitely
there's some others i like very much such as...
Little - look up Je veux de violons, chanson de fille
Coeur de Pirate - comme des enfants!
Christophe Willem - jacques a dit
Grégoire - Toi plus moi (getting a bit old, still good to sing along with)
Tom Frager (he's pretty popular now, je pense) - lady melody
sheryfa luna - for r'n'b, il avait les mots

we listened to bon baiser de paris by najoua belyzel in class, but i don't like her music too much

and of course! how could I have forgotten Françoise Hardy!

France Gall is also good. I like yé-yé music.

Where were you able to watch 'The Simpsons' in French?!

Ou avez-vous la chance de regarder 'les Simpsons' en francais? (Sorry, I just feel like typing in French to improve. Correct any mistakes I have made please. Danke)
