Cool. I can't wait until Sem 1 results get released. Expecting a good result from my WAM booster (Gen Ed).
But ... you're a first year? I didn't think we could do gen ed until we've done at least 48 credit points (what degree r jew in?)

Why would you think that?

Finally, this semester is over. Having 2 exams on the last 2 days of the exam period is definitely FTL.

whats a pass conceded mark? 48-50%?
46-49 i think

umm if you do geneds when it's not in ur degree, doesn't it mean it doesn't count towards hecs? i.e. you have to pay the full fee for it?

Yes.

You can do any course you want at UNSW really - and it all gets charged to HECS. The GenEd's are charged like any other course. Technically, the only reason people don't do GenEd's when they don't have to is because you have to pay for it later. But I wanted to learn other crap, so I did it.
Fuck that i might do gen eds next sem then.

Which ones did you do politik and would you recommend it?

I heard GENS8001 Work and safety and GENS8002 Sports performance and Injury Prevention are interesting and relatively easy.

Thoughts?

Btw thanks for the insight, alan.

(and as a commercetype student am i still allowed to do gen eds from the faculty of business or law)

No i meant 'not allowed' as in, if i did it i wouldn't be awarded my degree.

I was going by what politik said about how many things aren't 'allowed' but nonetheless are not enforced.

What other online courses are there?

I have AIDS will that halp me for layk hiv ?

You can take geneds from your own faculty, but only a maximum of 3 UOC. You can enrol in a maximum of 6 UOC from any one faculty other than your own, all of which will count towards your total of 12 UOC.

You'll have to pay attention or you might... undermine your good intentions.

Maybe... dig up some dirt on the lecturers and course material to give you an idea.

You never know, it could probably be a... diamond in the rough sorta course :p
