Getting into med. (1 Viewer)

Correct me if I'm wrong but this is the process right ?
1. Umat results come out in sep
2. With these results + predicted atar , we apply through. The med schools .
3. If we meet expectations we get invited to interview
4. We get interviewed and scored .
5. Afars come out , we apply from uac, with all the above info we either get in or not .

From my understanding:
1-4 is right
But for 5: Your real ATAR is only needed for the late round offers. Say for UNSW, your predicted ATAR was 98 which wasn't enough for the Main round interview offers (combined with your UMAT). Then, your actual ATAR ends up as 99.6, which is enough to get an interview. For that, you can go for the second round interview offers in which you may get a spot. However, it's less likely to pass these late round interviews.

2. u have to put med onto ur preferences for UAC, QTAC, VTAC etc etc before sept 30. but obviously if u bomb out on the umat, theres no point
3. submit an application form if the uni ur applying to requires it (only a few require it)
4. sit an interview late nov/december
5. offers come out jan

yeah, but I doubt you did as well in it as you think. (no offence)

Like, I think I did pretty spectacular in section one this year, and thought it was easy, but if I get more than 65 I will be shocked.

i didnt do umat this year, ( im talking bout my trail papers ).
