I second that, my friend. I do.

The number of those kind of bands nowadays make me want to puke.

True, there are a lot.

But not enough to make Korn aware of the heavier side of punk.

Still, the good thing is that it's not all over the radio (or is it? I stopped listening to that years ago) like most crummy music is so unless you're feeling a little masochistic every now and then, you can avoid it.

Atticus.

how do i get out of this

i understand where you get that lostprophets music is punk. but i dont get where you find that their music is heavy metal.
no its not heavy metal but its definatly has heavy chracteristics about it... anyway dude as i said before im not here to argue what is and what isnt punk or metal or whatever... everyone should just enjoy their music and stop (not saying your doing this) writing people off for their individual music tastes and the way they perceive and lable different bands, musicians whatever

Does anyone in hear like punk or hardcore or Ska ?
what are some of your favourite bands ?
Good Charlotte is not music.

Rancid, The Used, Taking Back Sunday, My Chemical Romance, Underoath, Finch, Lostprophets, Story Of The Year, Thursday, AFI, Alexisonfire, From Autumn To Ashes, Thrice, Slowdance, Sum41 and Brand New are the best bands

Thats starting to sound more like decent music...
Hardcore is normaly used in referance to HEAVY METAL music...
The Lost Profists are not heavy.
all the little categorys existing in Punk are pathetic.
Punk is Punk!

ps. KoRn dude........but odd having the Metallica symbol with KoRn as ya name dont ya think?

Actually I thought.. er, hardcore was usually used in reference to punk music. Hence when a band crosses the punk/metal genre and it's unclear as to which it is, people call it "Hardcore/Metal".

Although yeah, Dream Theatre, Tool and A Perfect Circle all the way :)
