But yeah, looking for a good pub or bar that does cool functions, somewhere either in the City or southern suburbs - was looking at the Harp in tempe, i <3 irish pubs, any suggestions? Basically want something with good music and good beers on tap.

In Newtown theres a really cool place, The Union Hotel, free pool tues and thurs, and they have a really nice bistro with tasty reasonably priced food, plus when you're done eating and playing pool, why not play some pokies!!:hammer:

Scruffy Murphy's and scubar are all good suggestions, may I also recommend Jackson's on George, The Hampden Court Hotel in the X, and that pub on William Street (going up to the Coke sign) of which the name escapes me at this moment in time?

There is the Pagewood Hotel on Maroubra Road, which is family friendly and reasonably priced =)

hotel willams it a quiet place for the city but got good drinks good music and good people

i've been seeing heaps of pics on facebook lately of people going to this bar/club where you drink out of teapots?! i don't know what it's called but looks cool =P
