Mitch Hedburg.
Bill Bailey has an AWESOMEAWESOME show called "Part Troll".
Dylan Moran is very much like Bernard Black, the character is pretty much just him playing himself. His show 'Monster' is pretty funny.
Eddie Izzard does a good show as well.

Fuck me some shit comedians have been mentioned.

Exceptions:

Demetri Martin
Bill Bailey
Ross Noble

Some fantastic comedians include:

Daniel Kitson
Mark Watson
Greg Fleet
The Flight of the Conchords
Arj Barker
Jeff Green
David O'Dougherty

As for great female comedians:

Maria Bamford
Kristen Schaal
Sarah Kendall

Just came back from the Melbourne Comedy festival and the live show highlights were definitely Daniel Kitson and Kristen Schaal, although I did have a ball all around.

Outside of some of the great comedians named already, I think that Ron White is pretty funny.

Stephen K. Amos is one of my favourites.

Wil Anderson's stand-up is... annoying, but back when he was on radio he was freaking hilarious, and he wasn't too bad on Glass House/tv shows in general. Maybe because he doesn't feel as compelled to SCREAM AT THE AUDIENCE!!!! but that's just me.
