if you do all the work you basically get that it's a four carbon ester, and idk how to determine what type of ester it was

so its CH2COOR
Then the other two carbons r just next to each other hence the quartet (3 neighbours so another terminal carbon) and triplet (2 neighbours come from carbon in next to terminal)

I got ~97 (not telling my exact ATAR so a particular someone doesn't dox me)



I guess it's because I did more humanities subjects so memorising/knowing stuff was sufficient

hydrophobic tail dissolves in non polar grease
friction from rubbing action lifts up grease molecule from surface and allows for more tails to dissolve
once tails have fully surrounded --> micelle
emulsion of soap water and grease micelles is rinsed away with water

Just like an ionic solid dissolving, the process may be enthalpically favourable or disfavourable, but it is entropically favoured which is an important factor in the process being spontaneous.
