Better answers on the Delian Leaugue will always include a discussion on the emergence of the Athenian Empire, the two are linked.

I'm scared. What if they give us a question like the 2008 one.. about the impact of the wars on Sparta? like whatttt? How would you approach it?
Easy. This was my trial question and I got 24/25 for it.
In summary:
-Reaffirmed position as best warriors in Greece Eternal glory for Thermopylae, Plataea
-Caused severe decline in numbers, loss of king as casualties hence became even more insular, reluctant to pursue war beyond own boundaries - fear of helot rebellion
-Caused them to relinquish control to Athens in Delian League
-Exposed austere Spartans to unimagined wealth of Persia - i.e. medizing and turning over to the Persians, such as Pausainius
-Provided an opportunity to "inadvertently" cause the Attican Greeks some grief

Basically screwed them over, because now they had a new competitor on their doorstep in Athens, casualties because of the war and the temptation of Persian wealth.

Glory isn't much comfort to you then.

Hope this helps ;)
