Guy Sebastian hasn't released any songs lately because he has been travelling to various countries writing new songs etc. His new album is apparently going to be released in October this year.

Yep, it is. He's got a single coming out soon on his current album though. And if anyone cares, he's got 2 new songs released for download on imesh (which is for his new album) -- "Stealing Love" and "Guilty" with Human Nature.
