Glad things got fixed for you, Ipodnano. Had a similar issue where I was listed as coming second in SOR, but turns out I'm tied for first. Would have grated at me if I didn't clear it up.

heh well good news for me is that my Ext 1 avg has been lifted up to 81%
and I came 2nd in the ext 1 maths exam with 89%...
though i screwed over 2U >_<

Strange how you do great in MX1 yet you mess up 2U! Oh well, I wouldn't sweat/cry blood - especially considering you're doing 4U next year (judging from a couple of your posts).

I got mine back a couple of weeks ago, but recently changed from Legal to modern, so I couldn't care less about my mark for legal.

First across the board par legal. Collectively happy.

Haha. A lot of people in 2U actually beat the majority of my 3U class. Well, there are only 7 people (LOL) in my 3u class but still.

well my school makes me do the 2U exams regardless of whether if you do 4U.....
and shitty thing is that from term 4, i still have to turn up to 2U lessons all the time
imma discuss with the teacher to skip some of the 2U lessons so i can catch up with my other subjects
especially when considering the fact that I've covered almost all of the topics on my own (exception of integration and 2 more, but I'll cover those topics beforehand )

btw what are you doing in modern atm? I'm currently doing historical investigation
and as for legal, there's like so much content
it's like ten times more than modern... >_<

nevertheless i still hope i obtain at least 85% in both 2U and 3U for the next assessment...

Got my report today, I'm pretty happy. Many of my actual marks kinds suck... which is sad, but I'm happy with the good ones and my ranks.

We got 'Exam Mark', 'Exam Rank', 'Assessment Rank' (Includes Exam results) and 'Assessment Mark' (which for some reason was marked 'N/A' on every one... ?
Our classes are obviously not as big as some of yours' are.

My English(s) suck... pity about my Ext Maths... but that exam was killer. And Chemistry is a bit sad. Apart from that... I'm happy.

Oh Oh! Is it because 38% sucks? Because yeah, that test was damn hard. (And even according to the teachers was impossible to even finish in the time limit.)

So far I've got extremely shit for english, even though it was only one assessment task had been counted at the time...

english adv - 60%; (avg 80%) -> ranked nearly at the bottom >_<
maths - 93% (avg 67%)-> ranked 9/136
maths ext 1 - 73% (avg 50%)-> ranked 5/63 =D
physics - 56% (avg 60%) -> 46/70 (dropping this sub by the end of term 3 )
legal studies - 68% (avg 74%) -> 29/42 (screwed over assessment task :/)
Modern History - 85% (avg 70%) -> 8/55 =D
Music 2 - 84% (avg 68%) -> 5/18

any ideas on how to improve english and legal studies?

and btw how'd everyone else go?

prelim subject ranking can sometimes be wayyyy off your HSC ranking

eg: prelim ranks all around 10th with eng being at around 40
HSC rank (atm) all around 2nd-5th and eng is 5th

english (std) : 9/48 - happy with my rank
SOR (1) : 6/50 - topped my class
ancient history : 6/25 - needs improvement...
biology : 11/30 - worst teacher, have to teach myself half the time
visual arts : 3/10 - small class

Needless to say when I saw english ext, I dropped it like it was hot.

OK so I finally realised that the Ext English mark had not been converted from out of 50, into a percentage.
(Yes, I know that is simple and obvious, I actually though of that, but I thought I had failed so bad it made sense, plus I assumed teachers could actually use percentages correctly).
Which actually makes that...

Not brilliant, but significantly better.

Someone told me the same happened with Ext Maths, however I am looking back at my actual exams and their marks and I can't find how they got to 38 (/50 or /100)... doesn't seem to correlate with my 21.5/48 score on the test. It doesn't make any sense!
Oh well, Parent Teacher Interviews tomorrow uhoh I'll check then.

(Got some good assessment marks for my extensions back today as well. )

Woah. 51 people in Maths Ext. There's only 15 people in my class and the teachers are always yapping on about how there are too many people and on how they plan on cutting the class down to 7.
