There, on the banks of the rivers of Babylon, we wept as we remembered Zion.

Arguing for them "to counter-balance extreme right": Asquithian

Heh I'd say that I stand to the left of the centre on most issues, yet I'm willing to compromise from time to time.

When the News and Pols forums are filled with "anti-howard" threads, Pro USU threads (tho i would say the majority of people that post alot are pro-vsu) when people such as vahl3 are claiming that private schools have no right to exist, it's kinda hard to be moderate on the issues discussed.

Edit: For example, I'm aware that a "flat tax" like the thread i created before is the pinnacle of right-wing economics, and i wouldn't have been so staunchly defending the concept if the second i proposed it the thread wasn't flooded with foolishness.

I'm a lefty.... but I wouldn't say I am far left, e.g. uni politics scares me away sometimes...

So I guess I would be moderate left. When I did that political compass thing I was in the middle of the left thing.... like halfway across to the left and halfway down the liberalism scale.

Gotta love John Howard and the Libs. As for VSU, all for it...private school system is great and deserves all the funding that it receives regardless of what people say. Flat tax system?.....if only we had one...

But I'm been moving towards the center ever since high school. I just like sticking it to the right.
Haha well making peace with the establishment is an important part of maturity

Wow.
I almost support laisez faire, i wonder why i didn't get closer to the right, maybe cause i don't think companies should just be about profit making?

I'm surprised that I'm so far right actually, I strongly agreed that companies can't be trusted to take care of the environment etc. Though, obviously a companies only responsibility is to it's share holders (and really the laws of the land in which the company operates within). Anything else needs to be legislated, i.e. environmental obligations.

Political compass says you are center left! :p

It seems to be easier to be considered 'left' with the compass.
You have to try hard to land on the right hand side obviously

Why can't there be a 'neutral' option, too? By and large I supported the position leaning towards the left if I felt that I was actually in the middle, and that seemed to be the case for a number of the questions (The economic section in particular).

I think its about time I write to Tharunka...but wait, Gulfam probably won't publish my letter because
a) It's me
b) It doesn't support their view

Manoj Dias-Abey has got to be one of the most corrupt and self-interested individuals ever (and this is without regard to any bias after he called me inexperienced and told me I didnt know what I was doing)

Obviously I have issues with the Guild, but I guess this article further undermines my confidence in them.
