Help! not sure what to do :( (english impacting ATAR?) (1 Viewer)

well i got my half yearly results back and i am happy with everything except for standard english.. it has never been my strong point and i have not done well and i did seriously bad in my half yearlys. i am now 50/98 and have no idea what to do. my other ranks are:

Maths: 8/68
Music:2/8
Drama: 2/10
Bio: 13/46

is there any chance i could still get an 90 + atar (or even 80+!) if i dont end up doing well at english at all but get band 6's in my other subjects?

What I could suggest right now is to find a private tutor-if you don't have one right now and urgently improve your essay writing skills as well as any other areas in English that you are weak on. Have a look at this website:https://engrishforum.wordpress.com/category/area-of-study-s/ (it has samples of band 6 quality essays from standard English modules to give you an idea of what the best essays looks like)
