good textbooks for year 12 ??? >.<

hii . =]

well I've been told to get a head start on preparing for the hsc during the free time after my prelimss.. which is now for about uhmm... 7 weeks ? :eek:

so i was wonderingg does anyone know what are some good textbooks for..

studies of religion
ancient history
history extension
society and culture
& legal studies

any help would be appreciated. :) i just dont want to go waste a stack of money on books then find out there were ' better ones ' .. plus im sick of borrowing over night books frm the school library -_-"

Legal Studies - Excel and/or Heinemann as a textbook, Dotpoint for Revision.

Well for ancient it depends, but the Antiquity 2 books give a good (albeit brief) summary of all you need to know for all but the core topic for which i suggest "Pompeii and Herculaneum: Interpreting the Evidence" by brian brennan and estelle lazer.

Go for either Excel or Heinemann. Textbooks are quite expensive, and I'm just speaking from where I stand, but I'm usually on a tight budget.

thats why i want everyones opinions before i go wasting money on them like i did this yearr.. i guess i can excuse the budget bit for nowww.. gotta make sacrifices for yr 12 rightt.. :lol:

history and the historians by john warren
the houses of history by anna green and kathleen troup
fifty key thinkers on history by marnie hughes-warrington
