You fluke it, like I did. :p
But yeah, it doesn't really matter because they're not going to kick you out of HSC or something.
Well unless you get like a score of 10, but then why bother going to school.

If you're good enough, you won't have to do a thing and you'll get lots of band 6s :)

NB: The SC is easy and it means nothing if you're doing the HSC so don't study for it!

You can fluke it like these geniuses. :) Or you can just brief over history and geography. If I studied Human Rights I wouldn't have been stumped on my long response for geo. Oh well. Still got a band 6 :D

That's no achievement. S/he had half an hour still. I did computer skills in 10 minutes. Got 95. :) [A lot of guessing, mainly because we were the first grade to do it on computers, so we just clicked away]

You only really have to make a very brief summary of what you've learnt in class and study those notes. The exams are very straight forward and just don't over-analyse the questions in the exam (although I can't see this happening)...

Oh, and always read the questions right :)

If you have school exams a few weeks before, they will probably be harder than the actual SC. Study for these, and then keep reading over your notes before SC to keep it fresh-ish. It should work.

should i just keep on completing heaps of past sc tests
to get band 6's for the sc?
Believe it or not to get a band 6 does not need mass amounts of work even though around 5-7% of people get a band 6 in a particular subject. Just brief over things, practice a few questions. When the time comes, teachers will provide you with plenty of material. What school do you go to, if you go to a very highly ranked school, you'll get all band 6s easy. If you don't and your school hardly ever gets band 6s you'll still be fine. My school hardly ever gets people with band 6s and hardly ever those with all band 6s but I came out with all band 6s.

Your attitude seems quite like mine during this "PRE SC" period.
it actually turns out to be stupid
1. SC has not value
2. its easy
but still, you may just be up for a challenge
if so, with a decent cognitive level less than a month's study should guarantee 6s
