how does first person narration create a sense of alienation? (1 Viewer)

in peter skrzynecki's st pats college i wrote how through the use of first person [FONT=&quot]narration , it shows his detachment and alienation.

how does it do this?

i think you should specify that it's first person singular. then you can say this highlights his sense of alienation from his schoolmates. he didn't join in any activities with them hence the constant "i did this, i did that".. shows how he was alone in all his endeavours. this is also seen in post card, and in the folk museum.
then you can contrast this with the first person plural evident in 10 mary street and migrant hostel, where he experiences a connection with his family. (e.g. "for 19 years, we lived together.." "we lived like birds of passage").
