-5 very unhappy, I totally screwed the HSC and feel like a complete loser... four band 5's and one band 4. My Atar is stuffed unless subjects like ITV and IPT scale well for a change? :(

Band 5's are still very solid marks and will by no means fuck up your atar!
The atar isn't the end of the world and many people would be overjoyed with those marks!
Just because you might not get your desired atar doesn't mean you should feel like a loser, this should encourage you to go research other uni courses and hence careers that you may possibly find an interest in :)

That's not excessively bad. Don't forget, there are people that can only dream of those marks.

Also, BOS tends to be filled to medium-high achieving students that *usually* care about their studies.

Thanks for the motivation bro... there are not many courses that fall under my so to be atar range that I have interest in... all hopes are fading away... was thinking of doing the HSC again at Tafe. My >400 ranked school dragged me down.. I was ranked first in biology with an internal assessment of 98 and ended up with 82 for both??
and this was just the start of a bad dream :(

Yer it doesn't seem that bad, but its the subjects that I got the marks in are excessively bad.
My marks were:
Biology 82- barely scales :(
Chemistry 83- scales alright
IPT 86- does not scale well under 92
ITV 86- does not scale well under 90ish
English Adv 78- scales down :(
Atar aim 85+ gone! :( :(

7! Did not get any band 6s, but fortunate to receive mid 5s with high scaling subjects
After trials, I thought I would fail everything and be lucky to get a band 4 in English.. but received 88. (80-internal 96-external)

Overall, happy! Still in a bit of a 'oh i wished i did this and that' stage, but getting there :)

I was expecting something lower so I was pleasantly surprised with my atar. However, I swear I could've done better. That's why I gave it an 8.

I got all band 5's and a band 4 in standard english. I was expecting an ATAR of 81, but it turned out to be 75.10. My life is just about over.

9. Happy with my Atar 97.25 as it lets me get into UNSW med sci (to transfer into medicine, hopefully...), but I missed out on 3 band 6's by 1 mark. *face palm*
