So how many page books do you think will suffice for
Legal Studies,
Economics
Psychics
Chemistry
Advanced English
Ext. Maths.
(and it would help if people who knows the teachers and amounts of north sydney girls answers it. :D)
that's about it, ii think.

Who finds it exciting to buy books/stationary for a new year.. !!! i do! lol..
Ha, i thought I was the only one. I always just want to go in and just grab what I need... because you always seem to just know what you want... unlike clothes shopping :D haha.

Lol. selena is awesome.. as a child star :D

Cool! :hammer:

Omg we have similar subject selections lol.
i'm thinking of changing biology to economics because they were on the same line and i went for biology and lately have thought maybe that wasn't the best decision.

so i'll see if i can change from biology to economics when i get back to school. then hi-5 we'll have the same subjects for year 11 woot woot!

How many pages would Ext. 1 English require? I'm extraordinarily picky about my books and I like to have a different colour for each subject, so I just had to pick two 96 page books lol.
i used about 15-20 pages for yr 12 ee1.

Great idea. Economics is sooo interesting. I love, I love!
because i might want to do commerce/law
or engineering/law

and with biology i don't really need it cause i have physics and chemistry opening up science courses.

Plus i took commerce in year 9 and 10 and thoroughly enjoyed the course.

In conclusion economics will open up more pathways for me over biology.

Do you think so too ? :p:p:p:p:p

i would like to know why you have biology as part of your subject selections..

yeah.. thanks.. phys+chem is all i need for the science courses at uni

so biology i don't really need. Unless someone can tell me why doing all three sciences is an advantage...
anyone at all?

Doing all 3 mighten be, but some people might enjoy choosing to do all three sciences. It could be one of the only things they are good at :)

E.g. I didn't want to choose SOR I, but since I go to a catholic school, I had to... I would have much rather chosen something else and Biology was one of my back ups... (and I chose chem + phys)

Stop spelling PHYSICS wrong.

This is what I used:
legal - 192
Physics - 128
chemistry - 128
maths - 192
ext maths - 192
english - 192

ones in bold i used between 60% - 84% of my book

ones not in bold i used about 85% of the pages

OR if you're unsure, get 240p books for all of them.

keep in mind you receive 999885567774330025145 sheets especially for legal, phys and chem

personally i made 12345678900000 notes for english coz i taught myself the course. i made quotes notes on each text that were about 20p each. go figure

Indeed. My english folders is going to rooted from soo many sheets. The same applies for the sciences, Chemistry and Physics. I would agree on the amount of pages needed for each of those subjects, but personally I would go through more than 192 pages for mathematics, but it depends on how often you study and how big you write too :)

except for maths, where you need to buy maths exercise book, why don't you try using folder?
i personally found easier to organise with folders.

Same, but everyone is different.

E.g. All the previous years of 11 & 12 at my school, majority of people have used some sort of folder system, but now this Year 11 (my year) majority of people are using books... and the stupid idea of putting the books into folders!!! Like what is the point of having folders unless your going to put plastic sleeves/loose paper in them... it defeats the purpose! They think it will help them carry their books...

Haha.

urh, my subjects were mixed.
for english i would have used 100 pages max cos my teacher is an overhead fanatic and i typed a lot of my essays/practice paragraphs/creative writing pieces.
for ext eng, i would have used 20 pages max (not even kidding) majority of class work was discussions and sheets/reading passages. (same teacher as adv)
umm, for maths/ext maths i would have used 1000 pages (work, theory, assignments, past papers etc) roughly i'd say. BUT my writing is massive and messier in maths and i put in excessive amounts of working and drawing huge diagrams and leave lots of gaps, so not an accurate reflection of a typical year 11 maths workload (but i did still manage to come first :) )
chemistry, i barely used any of my workbook, but my teacher used booklets so i have a full ring binder folder full of work.
food tech i used majority of a 240 page book.
and society and culture i filled every single page of a 240 page book...
so there you go :)

Hehe a lot of pages for maths, but that's probably about what I am going to end up using as well, even though I write small, kind of and smaller diagrams than you outlined.

yeah, that's what i thought too...small, neat, legible writing and diagrams.
lasts about a week tops for me in maths. then back comes the massive, messy, i-dont-care-how-neat-it-is-as-long-as-it-can-be-read handwriting.
my teacher always says i have really good setting out though cos i put in every bit of working, so i can gain half marks if i stuff up. and she comments on some of the boys' messy handwriting so mine must be at least semi-acceptable ;)
