most girls are wearing cocktail dresses
not really formal
some of them not even dressing up as much as you would expect them to
one just wearing a skirt and a top..but it still looks ok
because our formal is a boat cruise in the city and everyone wants to go to the after party they dont wana be too dressy...
in the end everyone looks great on the night...
i soo cant wait...november 23rd...!!

Hey - my dress was $420, shoes $150, makeup $80, hair $99, taxi and limo $about 80, accomodation $40, other (film, touchup makeup, drinks, ciggs, nudebra, etc) $90, nails $20, bag $50, etc.
I can't remember the rest, but definetly pricey. I loved my dress, its so beautiful - it was a newly released pink/beige sass and bide, short - def. casual but it was lovely. My hair was up, I went to my normal hairdressers - J. Baileys in the city - and limo, taxi and accom was shared with my group...

Mine was $350 but I got some off, about $30 (not much) because there was a mark on it and I was going to have to get it dry cleaned, but now a few montsh later I can't even find the mark so no dry cleanong needed!
I just realised how much this whole formal thing costs us!
$320 dress
$110 hotel
shoes I haven't got yet
bag I haven't got yet
I'm getting my hair cut and streaked
then getting hair washed blowdried and then half up half down (can you believe they charge $25 more just to put 2 pins in! I could do it but knowing my luck it would fall out)
make-up done
and then $110 for the actual formal
ahhhhh, maybe I should pay my parents back. I have about $360 to spend on hair, shoes, bag and make-up. Do you think I can do it?

Dress: $180 (black cocktail shirred thing from Cue with nice strappy back)
Shoes: $160 (Enzo Angiolini... VERY NICE!!)

Hair: $0 (I'm just going to um, wash it... and leave it out lol)
Makeup: $0 (yay for dance, I have way too much makeup anyway)
Bag: Haven't got one yet

So Far: $340

The average for my school is about $300 for the dress alone. For you girls that have gone over the $800-$1000 mark, what on earth are your dresses like?!?!?

its a black versace dress low front, 3/4 arms, connects at the top of my neck, no back, black leather waist band thingy that connects to the lower half of the dress that goes to the ground so its quite formal...
