nearly everyone at my school's kinda sick of the whole 'formal 'vibe thing. haha, we're too lazy! either that or too cheap.. haha.
i guess its coz its all very depressing as well. everytime i tried on a dress i was like... 'ugh, theres another 5 kg's for you to lose missy!'

About $200 from Hiltons in Chatswood... I'm going to get it altered though to make it more like a cocktail dress, so prob add another $50 at the most... It's a dark green two piece with rouched top, I'm gunna gather the bottom to bring it up from a floor length and add some tulle and handmade flowers and diamontes... I can't wait to get the design done, but studies kinda take the priority at the moment...!!
Picked up the most awesome bargain with my shoes though, they are silver Robert Robert's with a plait running up the foot with ties for the ankle... for $30!!! They were the last pair left, man I was psyched!

Mum bought me mine, the reason it was 1000 is because there is really nothing i've ever seen like it - should post a pic of it on here (as soon as i get the dress from parents house digital camera, etc etc).

how come ur mum bought u a $1000 formal dress? ive read ur other posts and apparently ur making $600 000 a year and ur buying her a car? why wouldnt u buy it yourself if uve got so much dough? just a thought...

my yr10 formal dress was around $500 including alterations. shoes was $50. make and hair was about $80 and jewellry was $145

this years yr12 formal dress was $80, havent had my formal yet, but ive already worn it to a black tie 21st party. and i got shoes for $50 n earrings for $15.

and have $80 shoes coz red shoes that match the dress are hard to find

they are by this french designer called christian la coustin and they are satin so apparently that gives ppl the right to charge ridiculous amounts of money for shoes BUT they were reduced from like 890 so at least i didnt pay that much for them.. plus they are gorgeous haha
