Nor should it. Sport does, however, make you eligible for several scholarships.Estel said:Sport would definitely not make you eligible for it.
withoutaface said:It's called EAS, allows you into courses up to 5 points above your UAI, and playing sport is your decision, if it's impacting on your HSC results I would suggest you just dont do it, I don't think you'd get EAS for it.
'Something' Access Scheme. Easy? No idea. Anyway, some uni can give you up to 5 extra uai and some can give up to 10 (UTS). If your school is listed as a disadvantage school (like mine was) you can use that as an excuse. Other than that, other factors include getting Centrelink (because you might be inable to pay for extra tuition or something) and prehaps a family member being really sick and affecting your studies. But from what I've seen, it takes a LOT of time getting paer work, signatures etc.andwz said:wats EAS? wat does it stand for

The UAI is a rank, not a percentage. Say if you got an UAI of 80, then with the increase, you'll get UAI 85andwz said:so is the 5 extra uai.. lik 5% additional to ur uai?

Why would you bother applying if it hasnt effected your study. Leave it for someone who generally deserves the additional ranking. There are people out there who have been in worse situations during the HSC than just loosing an uncle. No matter how sad it is.andwz said:ohh

Thats true. I was diagnosed with depression half way through my HSC year, but I was determined to get through the HSC and into uni without any extra assisstance, even though I was entitled to it. There were probably people out there more disadvantaged than me, who deserved it more than me. And my determination payed off. If you have determination, you will succeedjoe_m_2000 said:i know there are situations where people have physical, mental disabilities etc
Perhaps if you put as much thought and effort into studying as you devote to trying to find ways to milk the system, you wouldn't need the EAS points?andwz said:ohh
