My parents act like they dont care...in front of other people.

BUT, they have hidden secrets LOL I get thrashed(not literally) for not getting 101% so basically i always lose. HAHA not funny but my life is what it is..thank god for what i have atleast. Thats what I get for being a south-east asian..LOL

My parents give me money as a bribe to do well in my exams/assessments.

What they don't know is that I want to do well anyway. So its a win-win situation.


I do get a lot of pressure from my mum to do well though. I think she has high expectations now I've already got one band 6 =/

I think my parents know that if they try to push me I'll just yell back at them saying "Don't put so much pressure on me!"

I think it's better that they don't say anything because I push myself so I won't let them down. Reverse pyschology works on me, I think.

But at this age those kinds of situations should be avoided through proper dialogue and explanation by both sides expressing their views, and thus coming to an agreement.

I remember getting beaten [not abused] when I was younger when I did something wrong or when I didn't do what I was told. It was used to discipline me. I don't feel bitter about it at all. I have no scars or anything.
