modern history
maths
studies of RE

bleh modern is source based, and im so scared about it ><

Hmm, I did my source based Modern History Core Study Assessment one last term and got 10/10 for it. Stoked! I suck at source based, so therefore my conclusion is that they're marking us easy, haha.

Re: HSC Assessments- Thoughts/Results v1.0

It took a little while because some students who hadn't done in-class assessments in the final week of last term had to do them on the first day back, but as of today all our term 4 assessment marks are in our hands. It's good to be able to stop worrying about last year's results and focus instead on this term's half-yearlies. My friends and I are getting pretty good at worrying now lol.

English Adv - 14/15, 19/20
English Ext2 - 15/15
Maths Adv - 29/30
Biology - 14/15
Economics - 20/20
IPT - 15/15

I don't go to a private or selective school, I'm sure you guys have much harder assessments. I'm still happy though :D

2nd for maths, and equal firsts for biology and most likely English Adv. Firsts for the rest.

Equal-anything ranks are dangerous, too damn edgy and competitive lol.

Hehe, when us regular 2U-maths students beat some extensioner's, it always brings an evil little grin to my teacher's face :D Such an awesome maths teacher.

Perfect marks?
Tell me that those exams were really hard.
I'm just wondering why there's a EX2 task...I still can't figure out how EX2 works out.

$20 says I don't get above 96.

The only exam in that was for maths, the rest were assignments, excluding a listening test for English. The assignments for the most part were pretty easy, our school is ranked around 340. Those results I listed above will be compensating for lower exam results, least thats what I predict, as our school buys exam papers externally.

Take IPT for example, average marks of 70% in our year 11 assignment, average marks of 30% in the yearly exam.

Same here! Hi 5 mate! Let's keep it up! :)
Economics is fun isn't it? :D My happy subject lol

As for extension english 2, the course is worth 50 marks. We do internal assessments, consisting of a Proposal (10%), Viva Voce (essentially a speech, 20%) and a Reflection Statement (20%).

Then the major work we've constructed over the entire course is given to the HSC markers, who give it a mark out of 50. This is essentially our "exam", and this forms our external assessment mark.

Yeah?
