So does that mean UAI scaling will be similar to previous years and thus, SAM is pretty much accurate?

Legal, Modern, 4u Eng and ExtHist all have less % in top bands than previous years. Will this cause an effect, a positive one, if you're in top bands?

It will mean any predictions will be lower than they should be, yes. :)

But only if you're in that situation.

Okay Laz. I got a question mate. Say i got 99.65 predicted by sam for last years results, and my subjects are all three sciences, aths x1 and x2, and eng adv. and looking at the perfomance band descriptors, the people who got band 6 are less than that for this year, like say non average,by 3-4%. How much do you think my UAI will suffer as a result?

that list gave me happy thoughts but a doomsday for the most important one for me

Music Extension.

I got 40/50... not bad.

BUT

Band E4 (55.12%)
Band E3 (35.73%)

Since mine is a low band 3...........

Did I get 40/50 and in the top say... 90%?

danm, theres alot more ppl got in band 5 and 6 for adv english:
2003: 41.2% (6.38% in band 6, 34.82% in band 5)
2004: 50.09% (7.56% in band 6, 42.53% in band 5)

goodness, i only got 83 for adv eng.... i reckon dat have dropped me from being top 25% to somewhere around top 33%

i reckon it wipped a whole uai point from be because of dat alone!!! :vcross:

Mine ended up going up on the SAM prediction by 0.3. Probably because so few ppl got band 6 in business and economics....
