Question:

Bob bought a new drill. He attempts to drill through concrete, but as the concrete is hard, the drill slows right down. However Chris holds the trigger, waiting for it to drill though.

Explain why Chris is an idiot. (3 marks).
i wonder if this is aimed at a certain someone

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive

the back emf is reduced because the coil is rotating slower (smaller rate of change of flux thus less emf induced as per Faraday) thus the supply current is almost unopposed which can burn the motor

Essentially, yes

Dont talk about Siddy like that!

Question: (3 marks)

A proton is fired into an Electric Field at a speed of 2.8x10^8ms-1. The field is provided by a pair of parallel plates with a potential difference of 1kV, separated by 1cm. The electric field is running up the page.

Determine the acceleration of the proton

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive

im not 100% certain my answer is right though. Did you account for mass dilation?

Well done SuperSaiyan!

I was wondering to see how long it would take for someone to account for mass dilation! NOT TOO LONG AT ALL :D

Outline how doping causes holes to be generated in a p-type semiconductor and clarify how they act as charge carriers. USE EITHER THE TERM ACCEPTOR LEVEL OR DONOR LEVEL IN YOUR ANSWER AND PROVIDE AN APPROPRIATE DIAGRAM (3 MARKS)

ANYONE FOR A HARD MATHS QUESTION?!?!

A sniper is lying in a prone position such that the barrel of his rifle is 30cm above the ground. The muzzle velocity of his rifle is 800ms-1.

A target appears at a distance of 1250m with the centre of the target 1.2m above the ground level. If the sniper was firing from the prone position, calculate the angle to which the barrel of the rifle should be raised to hit the centre of the target (disregard any elevation of the rifle due to the angle)

(Just for you iBibah) ;)

(GIVE THEM TIME SUPERSAIYAN!!)

?HARD? CONCEPTUAL MATHS QUESTION

A projectile is launched from the surface of planet habibi (pronounced kkkkkkkkhabeebee), at t = 3s and t = 14s, the vertical displacement is 60m.

Determine the acceleration due to gravity on habibi and the maximum height of the projectile

ONLY USE PHYSICS EQUATIONS!!!!

YALLA!
