ruh as someone whos gone to therapy before do you know how expensive it is
im lucky to be privileged enough to be able to afford it
a ton of australians esp rn are living paycheck to paycheck, so many people caant afford to pay like hundreds of dollars once a week for support
yeah thats the main issue but we have things like beyondblue, lifeline etc that afaik a lot of other places dont have. but for ongoing support we are lacking fs

I still think we are lacking, those are great but long term support is shit and so hard to come by
most people who are really sick don't want to reach out to places like beyondblue or lifeline either because youre basically going to be talking to an absolute stranger, they can't really do much (ofc it depends on the person tho)
therapy and getting diagnosed is a lot different and much more expensive
as i said before its also abt culture, i think australian culture (like so many others) ppl kind of expect you to just shove any mental health issues unedr the rug and ignore it
its not taken seriously :")
